With chants of “RG3″ behind him Robert Griffin III continued his storybook season on Monday night, as he threw for one touchdown and had a fumble turn into another score in the Redskins 17-16 win over division leading Giants.
The win means the Skins are now just a game back of New York in the NFC East with four games to play. This after a few weeks back coach Mike Shanahan declared the season over after a loss that put the team well out of the playoff race.
All Washington has done since then is win, lifting their record to .500 at 6-6. The Giants fall to 7-5 with the win.
